New Apple iPhone 5 free Give away on Facebook

Today, we received an email from Facebook saying “XXXXX suggested you like New iPhone 5 Give away“.  The Apple iPhone 5 is still not launched and why somebody will give it for free? As Techfeedlab always wants to explore online scams, we clicked on the invitation to view that page. By looking into the page, we found that the page is newly created on the Facebook by someone. Here is the Facebook page looks like,

That page then redirects user to another few locations which loads some message boxes and display them to users. The message is created in such a way that people will likely to click on the OK button. Look at below message box,

Even if Apple iPhone 5 is not launched yet, the above website are giving away not 1, not 2 but 10,000 new iPhone 5 and that’s for free? The website will ask user the following information,

1) Email address

2) Your Shipping address

The message says Apple iPhone 5 will deliver to you within 3-5 business days. If you click on OK button, you will be taken to another page where you need to enter your email address like,

Test and keep a free iphone5 for yourself by just entering email and shipping address. Do you believe? The page will then ask for your address and takes you to last step which is the final motive of this scam.

The page will ask you to complete some offers before you claim your Apple iPhone 5. This is done intentionally by scammers to earn money by luring victim to complete these surveys.

Privacy and Security:

Never believe in such fake online scams and never share any of your personal information with them. Who will give a free thing for just completing few surveys? Can’t they earn more money by selling those iPhone’s? Fake Scam. Beware.
